Day 1: Following your home taxi collection, we travel to the Celtic Royal Hotel in Caernarfon, North Wales for our overnight stay.
Day 2: An early departure for the journey to Holyhead, arriving in good time to check in and board our ferry, for the crossing to Dublin. Upon arrival, we disembark the ferry to make our way across country, to the Falls Hotel, Ennistymon for our four-night stay.
Day 3: Enjoy a morning at your leisure. This afternoon there’s a real treat in store with a Cliffs of Moher Cruise (subject to weather conditions and tidal restrictions), which includes return transfers to and from the hotel. Lasting about an hour, the cruise travels beneath these mighty sea cliffs which stand over 700 feet above the ocean. They are home to the largest colony of nesting sea birds in Ireland, including puffins, guillemots and razorbills. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the diverse range of marine life including seals, dolphins and even basking sharks.
Day 4: We begin our day with a scenic drive through the unique Burren National Park, with its Luna landscapes and rocky plateau that contrast strongly with its country’s lush green countryside. The Burren Visitor’s Centre in Kilfenora explains the history and geology of this precious piece of Ireland. Dotted along the landscape are more than sixty wedge tombs, notably the Poulnabrone. We then continue along the coastal road, through Ballyvaughan and around Black Head with its spectacular ocean views, then onto to Lisdoonvarna, a Victorian Spa town made world famous by its annual matchmaking festival.
Day 5: After breakfast, we travel South via Lahinch to the heritage town of Kilrush. We take the 30 minute ferry journey from nearby Killimer across the River Shannon to Tarbert in County Kerry. Departing the ferry, we travel passed the Flying Boat Museum at Foynes to the city of Limerick. Explore the compact old town, known for the medieval St. Mary’s Cathedral and St. John’s square, which is lined with Georgian townhouses. Standing along the River Shannon, the 13th century King John’s Castle is one of the city’s most recognisable sites.
Day 6: Departing our hotel we make our way to Dublin for some free time, before continuing to the port to check in for our sailing to Holyhead. On arrival, we disembark the ferry for the journey to our overnight hotel the Celtic Royal Hotel in Caernarfon.
Day 7: We depart our overnight hotel in North Wales for the return journey to Norfolk. On arrival our door to door service will be waiting to return you home.
