Day 1: Following your home taxi pick up, we make our way north to Southport. Tea/coffee will be served on our arrival whilst our cases are delivered to our rooms.
Day 2: This morning we head into Liverpool where you can enjoy free time to visit the local attractions and city sights. Liverpool has some of the most wonderful architecture to be found in any English city, including the imposing Cathedral where you can enjoy the 360° views of Liverpool from its rooftop, the Albert Dock & Tate Liverpool Art Gallery. It is also home to the world’s largest permanent exhibition purely devoted to the lives and times of The Beatles, which takes you on an atmospheric journey through the lives, times, culture and music of The Beatles. (attractions subject to individual choice & payment). This afternoon we will see Liverpool and Wirral's most iconic sights aboard the world-famous Mersey Ferry on a 50 minute cruise. You will find out lots of interesting facts about city's rich musical heritage, learn how the ferries played their part in the First World War and hear more about Liverpool’s maritime history from the expert recorded commentary, which plays throughout the cruise. All you need to do is sit back, relax and take in the views. You'll be captivated as the rich and fascinating history of our world-famous waterfront unfolds before you.
Day 3: Today is a free day to discover Southport, with its magnificent pier, well laid out gardens, sea front lake and Victorian arcade on Lord Street.
Day 4: This morning we have a full day guided tour of Pendle Hill Country, hearing about the infamous witches. Downham was the setting for the 1961 film Whistle Down the Wind and TV’s Born and Bred. We call at Barrowford Visitor Centre for a break before heading over Pendle Hill on our way to Clitheroe for a lunch break. The day continues with a drive through the Britain in Bloom village of Chipping and on into the Hodder Valley with a break at the riverside tearooms in Slaidburn before heading back to the hotel.
Day 5: Sadly this morning we depart our hotel and head back to Norfolk, making suitable stops along the way. Upon our arrival we re-join our door to door taxi service who will be waiting to take you home.
