Llandudno, the largest resort in Wales, is famous for the Victorian style and Edwardian elegance that is evident throughout the town. It is exciting, lively and beautiful with two beaches set beneath the towering limestone headland of the Great Orme – one of many fascinating natural features of the coastline.

The highlight of the trip is a cruise to Puffin Island, an uninhabited island off the eastern tip of Anglesey.

Day 1: Following your home taxi collection, we head into North Wales to our hotel, the fabulous Tynedale for the next 4 nights.

Day 2: Our excursions takes us first to Caernarfon, dominated by one of the most impressive castles in Wales. The huge castle, with its unusual octagon towers, was the largest of many built by Edward I at the end of the 13th century. Edward’s son was born here in 1284 and became the first Prince of Wales followed, nearly seven centuries later, by Prince Charles, now King Charles II. We then head over the Menai Straits and on to the Isle of Anglesey with a photo stop at impressive Beaumaris Castle, an unfinished masterpiece, built in 1295. Here we enjoy a cruise to Puffin Island – home to many species of birds and wildlife. The 1½ hour cruise, with live commentary, takes you right round the island with regular sightings of puffins, grey seals and dolphins. (cruise is subject to suitable weather conditions, therefore is subject to change)

Day 3: Day at leisure to enjoy Llandudno. Set in a beautiful sweeping bay, Llandudno is enclosed by the headlands of the Great Orme and Little Orme, with 700 feet of sheer limestone that juts out into the sea. You can ascend to the top of the Great Orme in a cable car or Victorian Tramway and enjoy spectacular views across Anglesey and Snowdonia (cost not included). The tranquillity of Llandudno with its pleasant shopping centre and wide level promenade make it one of the most popular seaside resorts in Wales and a delight to explore.

Day 4:  We take a scenic drive through the Conway Valley, via Llanrwst to Betws-y-Coed, a beautiful location set amongst woods and riverbanks. Here you can potter around the independent shops, enjoy a breath of fresh air on a walking trail or enjoy a bite to eat in one of the many cafes. We then continue via the Llanberis Pass to the village of Llanberis, which lies at the foot of Mount Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales. After some time here we return to our hotel.

Day 5: After breakfast, we depart for Norfolk, where your door to door taxi service will be waiting to return you home.
