Day 1: Joining the coach from a convenient local joining point, we make our way to Carmarthen, arriving late afternoon at the Ivy Bush Royal Hotel for our 4-night stay.
Day 2: This morning we travel west to the popular small seaside resort of Saundersfoot, where we stay awhile with time to explore the little harbour, before leaving for the short ride to Tenby. With the old town walls, interesting little side streets and alleyways to explore and superb beaches, Tenby is South West Wales’s main holiday resort and is always a pleasant and friendly place to visit. Our return takes us via Pendine Sands and Laugharne, the former home of Dylan Thomas.
Day 3: Our excursion today takes us to the beautiful unspoilt scenery of the
Gower Peninsula designated an ‘Area of outstanding natural beauty. We visit the picture postcard resort of Mumbles, view the nature reserve of Worm’s Head, and Rhossili Bay, where the 250ft cliff drops steeply to the beach below.
Day 4: Day at leisure to explore Carmarthen, the oldest continually occupied town in Wales. The town is proud of its Roman origins as well as its links with the Arthurian legends of Merlin.
Day 5: After breakfast sadly, we must leave to begin our homeward journey to Norfolk, and your chosen joining point.
