Explore the life and music of the legendary Chaka Khan in the world premiere of I’m Every Woman—The Chaka Khan Musical and see how her legacy takes shape. Throughout her five-decade career, this iconic American singer has left her mark on the music industry with hits like “Ain’t Nobody,” “Through the Fire,” and “I’m Every Woman.”

Khan began her career as a member of the funk band ‘Rufus’ as the lead vocalist up until the band separated in 1983. After this, she embarked upon an equally successful solo career with her first single, “I Feel for You”. Her accolades include 10 Grammy Awards, a discography of 22 albums, 25 Billboard magazine charted songs, seven gold-certified singles, 10 albums certified gold and platinum, and an incredible record of over 70 million records sold.

The creative team for the production will include direction by Racky Plews (Footloose), a book by Nia T. Hill (Jelly’s Last Jam), and choreography by Jade Hackett (Little Shop of Horrors, Miss Saigon).

Enjoy a day out to the bustling Lincolnshire seaside resort - Skegness. It is perhaps best known as the location of the first Butlins holiday resort, built in 1936, which remains within the area to this day. Plenty to see and do for all ages, including one of the latest attractions, Skegness Aquarium.

Travelling around on the 'Skegness Seasiders' open top buses between the Bus Station, Ingoldmells & Chapel St. Leonards is an excellent way to get about the town and along the various tourist hotspots of Skegness.

After some free time in Ipswich we head to Jimmys Farm.

Last year, Jimmy’s Farm near Ipswich rescued a polar bear from a zoo in Sweden that unfortunately had to close. Ewa was rescued from Orsa Rovdjurspark which closed in November 2022. The team at Jimmy’s have worked closely with experts in polar bear care and behaviour and have created her a new home which meets the highest standards for her welfare.

Two more polar bears have recently joined the popular wildlife park as part of a programme to conserve the threatened species. Flocke, age 16, and Tala, age four, have joined Jimmy’s Farm and Wildlife Park. The pair join rescued polar bear, Ewa, who was saved in October 2023 from a disbanded zoo in Sweden.

Putting that aside, you can also have a wander through the beautiful grounds to see 100 species and breeds from capybara to crocodiles, pigs to pelicans and even monkeys. During your visit, you may also wish to visit the farm shop, restaurant and coffee shop.
