Begin your day with relaxed free time in Woodbridge, a delightful riverside town filled with independent shops, inviting cafés, and picturesque views along the River Deben. Take a gentle stroll, browse the boutiques, or enjoy a quiet moment by the waterfront before the day’s explorations continue.
We then make our way to the fascinating Sutton Hoo, the site of one of the most important archaeological discoveries in British history. Explore the exhibition hall, learn the story behind the famous Anglo-Saxon ship burial, and wander the atmospheric burial mounds that overlook the Deben Valley.
Your day continues with a peaceful Bluebell Walk, where you can meander through woodland paths carpeted in vibrant bluebells. It’s a wonderful opportunity to soak up the beauty of nature and enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside.
A varied and memorable day combining heritage, history, and natural beauty.
National Trust members can take advantage of our travel only price of £23. Please call our bookings team to book travel only and ensure you take your membership card on the day.
