Day 1: Following your home taxi collection we make our way to Llanberis, making suitable stops on route for our 4 nights drinks inclusive stay at the Royal Victoria Hotel. Tea & Coffee will be served on arrival while your luggage is delivered to your room.
Day 2: After breakfast we head to the beautiful island of Anglesey where we take a short break in Llanfair PG. We then visit Beaumaris, with its medieval castle dating back to the reign of Edward I. A ‘must’ is to take a walk through the town, starting with a stroll along the seafront, taking in the pier and the views over the Menai Strait and Snowdonia then continuing through the charming streets with their picturesque cottages, many painted in soft pastel colours. This afternoon we head to Caernarfon, Gwynedd’s county town & home to Wales’s most famous castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Mighty Caernarfon Castle commands the lion’s share of attention, but the town’s narrow streets and stylishly redeveloped waterfront also merit a visit. (entrance to the castle not included)
Day 3: This morning after a leisurely breakfast we make our way to the Italianate village of Portmeirion, said to be designed on the Italian fishing village of Portofino. Created by Sir Clough Williams-Ellis between 1925 and 1975, the unique and altogether magnificent Italianate village of Portmeirion combines spectacular gardens and architectural surprises at every turn. Portmeirion has served as the location for numerous films and television shows, most famously serving as The Village in the 1960s television show The Prisoner. This afternoon we visit Portmadog before returning to our hotel.
Day 4: Today we visit Llandudno, the largest of the Welsh seaside resorts. A Victorian Gem with a history that goes back to the iron age. Set in a beautiful sweeping bay, Llandudno is enclosed by the headlands of the Great Orme and Little Orme, with 700 feet of sheer limestone that juts out into the sea. You can ascend to the top of the Great Orme in a cable car or Victorian Tramway and enjoy spectacular views across Anglesey and Snowdonia (cost not included). The tranquillity of Llandudno with its pleasant shopping centre and wide level promenade make it one of the most popular seaside resorts in Wales and a delight to explore. This afternoon we visit the mountain village of Betws-y-Coed, a beautiful location set amongst woods and riverbanks. Here you can Potter around the independent shops, enjoy a breath of fresh air on a walking trail or enjoy a bite to eat in one of the many cafes.
Day 5: This morning we say farewell to our hotel and make our way back to Norfolk where our taxis will be waiting to take you home.
