Day 1: Following your home taxi collection we make our way to the south coast to board the ferry to the Isle of Wight. Upon arrival, we make the short journey to the Trouville Hotel in Sandown, for our four night stay on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis.
Day 2: Today we are joined by a professional guide for a coach tour around the island. Littered with picturesque villages, bustling towns and historic delights, your guide will provide you with an insight into the rich historical heritage of the island.
Day 3: After breakfast, we have some free time in Sandown. Take a stroll along the Esplanade, unwind in one of the tea rooms or enjoy a glass of Cider in one of the traditional pubs. This afternoon, we make our way to Osborne House, the former home of Queen Victoria. The Queen and Prince Albert spent a great deal of time at this wonderful home, and since her death little has been changed there, with many of the royal couple’s possessions, photographs and paintings still in place. Don’t miss the stunning gardens surrounding the property, they are a must-see! Attraction subject to opening dates. (If unavailable, a suitable alternative will be provided)
Day 4: This morning we begin our day with a drive to Cowes where we board a boat for a Two Ports cruise. Firstly, we cruise through Cowes Harbour, world famous for yachting out into the Solent with fantastic views of the island coastline, Osborne house and Norris castle. We then cruise on across the eastern Solent with views of the massive sea forts and into the Portsmouth Naval Base, home of the Royal Navy, past and present. This afternoon we re-join our coach as we continue to Ryde. The island’s largest town with an elegant esplanade, attractive Georgian and Victorian buildings, and a half-mile long pier.
Day 5: After breakfast we catch the ferry back to the South Coast, continuing to Norfolk with suitable stops en-route. Upon arrival, our door to door service will be waiting to take you home.
