Bournemouth is so much more than just a seaside resort and an impressive array of attractions, it is one of the premier holiday centres in the country.
There are two piers, two thousand acres of parks and gardens, seven miles of clean golden beaches, traffic-free shopping areas, regular military band concerts, star-studded evening entertainment and, of course, the beautiful Dorset coast and countryside is close by too.
* Please note a Business Improvement District Levy is being introduced in Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole from 1st July, which is not included in the tour cost. A cost of £2.40 per room per night (including VAT) will collected by the hotel on arrival, and can be paid by card or cash (subject to change) *
Day 1: Following your home taxi collection we travel to Bournemouth, arriving in the afternoon at the Marsham Court Hotel for our 4 night stay, on a dinner bed and breakfast basis. You will enjoy tea & fruit cake on arrival and afterwards relax and settle in to your new surroundings. Before dinner enjoy a drinks reception with Christmas music & carols.
Day 2:
Leaving the hotel, we have an excursion to the Isle of Purbeck and Swanage, stopping at the pretty village of Corfe Castle on the way. Swanage is the most easterly town on the Jurassic Coast, and its gently shelving sandy beach and sheltered waters have made it a popular destination since Victorian times. Swanage Pier is an integral part of the character of Swanage, reflecting its Victorian splendour and rich heritage. Enjoy a stroll with the finest views of Swanage, or maybe uncover the story of Swanage at Swanage Museum (entry not included). We have time to explore Swanage and maybe take a stroll along the seafront, and to obtain lunch before returning to Bournemouth. This evening, a traditional Christmas Dinner is served and afterwards there will be festive entertainment.
Day 3: The day is free for you to explore Bournemouth. Enjoy a stroll along the cliff top and promenade or maybe visit Bournemouth’s wide range of shops and do some Christmas shopping. Dinner this evening is followed by entertainment.
Day 4: Today is New Years Eve. This morning we travel to Weymouth, with its quaint little back streets that wind around the old harbour and the magnificent sweep around of Weymouth Bay. This afternoon we make our way to Poole with its busy harbour and famous pottery. Being situated on Europe's largest harbour, Poole has always looked to the sea for its prosperity. This has shaped its character as a town of merchants and mariners. Much of Poole's rich history still survives in the Old Town with an exciting mix of smugglers' passageways and elegant houses built by rich merchants in the 17th and 18th centuries. Dinner this evening is followed by our final night of entertainment.
Day 5: Sadly this morning we depart our hotel and head back to Norfolk where our door to door service will be waiting to return you home.
