Day 1: From your chosen local joining point, we join our luxury tour coach and make our way to Devon, taking suitable stops en route. We will arrive late afternoon for our four night stay on a dinner bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2: This morning we travel to Exeter. A small city that packs a big punch, Exeter is one of the most vibrant, attractive and historically interesting cities in England. Pre-dating the arrival of the Romans in AD 50, Exeter’s history is rich and long. This is reflected in its fascinating visitor attractions including its unique Underground Passages, magnificent Cathedral, imposing Roman wall and beautiful Quayside. Exeter is also home to the award-winning Royal Albert Memorial Museum where visitors can explore the city’s 2,000-year history under one roof! Exeter has a real sense of individuality, its varied cultural scene is embraced by proud locals, and the diverse mix of eateries means it is renowned as one of the foodie capitals of the South West. Head to the West Quarter or the cobbled Gandy Street to discover great mix of independent shops and boutiques, cafes and bars. After lunch we head to Sidmouth, nestled beneath the majestic red cliffs of Peak and Salcombe Hill and the green hills of the glorious Sid Valley, located on the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. Renowned for its gardens and famed for its wealth of fine architecture, the picturesque town centre offers an excellent range of individual shops and is a delight to browse.
Day 3: Today is spent at leisure in Exmouth, Devon’s oldest seaside resort and one of great naval and historic importance. As one of the most picturesque coastal towns on the south coast, expect to see beautiful beaches, dramatic cliffs and traditional seaside delights.
Day 4: This morning our destination is West Bay with the simmering golden glow of the majestic sandstone cliffs and the shimmering radiance of Golden Cap, West Bay is the Golden gateway to the Jurassic Coast. A must see for fans of the ITV series Broadchurch which was filmed at West Bay. Why not visit the famous cliff and ‘Broadchurch Police Station’ as well as other sites that you may recognise from the hit TV Series. This afternoon we head to Bridport, a market town in Dorset. It is a wonderful place to spend some time with its streets full of galleries, booksellers, cafes, antique shops and boutiques.
Day 5: Sadly after breakfast we depart our hotel and head back to Norfolk and your chosen local joining point.
