Day 1: Following an early morning departure from your local joining point, we join our platinum executive tour coach and head to Kent for our crossing to France. We continue our journey into Belgium, as we make our way to our hotel, the Novotel Brugge Centrum for our three night bed and breakfast stay.
Day 2: Today we are free to explore Bruges and its Christmas Markets at our own pace. Bruges boasts quite a unique magic at this time of year, with its stunning buildings including the Gothic clock, town halls and medieval belfry that dominate the main square which will be beautifully illuminated and dressed in festive garlands. You will have free time to explore the Christmas Markets, which are magnificently brought to life, offering an assortment of handmade gifts, decorations, and food, including a tempting array of Belgian chocolates made especially for Christmas.
Day 3: Following a leisurely breakfast we head to Brussels. The city boasts a host of fascinating monuments, buildings and museums, along with countless cafés, restaurants and boutiques. During the festive period the centrepiece of Brussels is the local Christmas market, with its cheerful lights, delicious aromas and a vast number of stalls where you will find all kinds of traditional gifts, including handmade crafts and tasty festive foods including pots of Moules (mussels), Belgian frites (fries), delicious Belgian waffles and, of course, Belgium’s world-famous chocolates and beer. Not to be missed is a visit to the Grand Place, one of the most beautiful squares in Europe with its Baroque and Gothic style architecture, decorated in festive lights and garlands. Explore the quaint little backstreets leading off the Grand Place where you will find more inviting eateries along the Rue de Bouchers and stroll to the Galeries Saint Hubert, a glass-roofed arcade full of cafés, shops and theatres
Day 4: Sadly this morning we depart the hotel to retrace our journey to Calais, for our crossing to Kent. On arrival, we continue to Norfolk and your chosen joining point.
