Day 1: Following your home taxi collection, we make our way to Scotland, arriving early evening at our hotel in Cumbernauld for our 4 night stay. We will be greeted by tea/coffee and mince pies upon arrival whilst your luggage is taken to your rooms. Dinner this evening will be followed by live entertainment.
Day 2: Christmas Eve – After a hearty breakfast we enjoy a visit to the Kelpies, to view the world’s largest equine sculptures, towering 100 feet over the Forth & Clyde Canal. They are an incredible tribute to the horse powered heritage of Central Scotland and are a sight to behold. We then continue to Scotland’s Capital city, Edinburgh. Here you will have time to explore, or maybe visit one of the most popular festive markets in the UK. Nestled in the heart of Edinburgh’s historic city centre, with stunning views of Edinburgh Castle, the Scott Monument, and the city’s iconic skyline, East Princes Street Gardens hosts the free to enter traditional Christmas Market. Featuring around 70 stalls with some of the best local and international producers selling everything from handmade gifts, bespoke products, to tasty treats and delicious drinks.
Day 3: Christmas Day – A merry Christmas to you all! After a leisurely breakfast, you will enjoy a morning at leisure to enjoy the festivities. There will be a pre-dinner drinks reception, with a glass of fizz and canapes in the lounge, followed by a four course traditional Christmas lunch. This afternoon, you may wish to listen to the Kings Speech and enjoy coffee and mince pies, or take a leisurely stroll around the grounds. This evening, there will be a buffet in the Flemings restaurant followed by a quiz in the lounge.
Day 4: Boxing Day – After a full Scottish breakfast we head to the shores of Loch Lomond and the town of Balloch. Here we have a cruise on Loch Lomond where we will enjoy views of the magnificent Ben Lomond and pass a number of Loch Lomond's stately homes and castles. After we disembark we rejoin our coach and make the short journey to the traditional village of Luss where there will be time to explore.
This picturesque village sits on the western shore of Loch Lomond and dates back to medieval times. Much of the village you see today was created in the 18th and 19th centuries to house workers from the nearby slate quarries. We return to our hotel early afternoon.
Alternatively, you may wish to spend the day in resort to enjoy the luxury spa and leisure facilities. Your three course dinner this evening will be followed by bingo.
Day 5: Sadly after breakfast we make our way back to Norfolk making suitable stops enroute. Upon arrival our door to door service will be waiting to return you home.
