A new tour for 2025 staying at the fabulous Swan Hotel in the cathedral city of Wells. This historic hotel, with some parts dating back to 1422, has been sympathetically refurbished and extended, offering modern amenities in a beautiful setting.

To enhance your holiday, we include visits to Bath, Weston Super Mare, and Taunton, alongside a visit to the stunning Hestercombe Gardens where we enjoy a guided tour. The gardens were designed to reflect three generational periods of Somerset gardens with a Georgian Landscape Garden, Victorian Shrubbery, and Edwardian Formal Gardens. You will be able to explore the lakes, temples, cascades, woodland walks and formal terraces inspired by centuries of garden design.

Day 1: Following your home taxi collection, we make our way to Somerset, and the cathedral city of Wells, for our 4 night stay on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis at the Swan Hotel.

Day 2: We begin the day in the county town of Taunton where you are free to explore at your own pace. Our visit this afternoon is to Hestercombe Gardens where we enjoy a guided tour.

Day 3: A free day at leisure to explore our base of Wells. Perhaps visit the historic cathedral opposite our hotel famous for being one of the first Gothic-styled cathedrals in Britain and home to a large collection of stained glass. Take a stroll down Vicars Close  -believed to be the only complete Medieval Street left intact in England. There is also the Bishop Palace and Gardens home, to the bishops of Bath and Wells for over 800 years.

Day 4: Today we journey to the beautiful Georgian city of Bath where you have time to explore at leisure. Renowned for its stunning architecture, this wonderful city has something to see at every turn. Marvel at the stunning Bath Abbey, the last of the great medieval churches of England, with unrivalled views of the city, or be intrigued by the Circus, a masterpiece by John Wood, forming the shape of a key when viewed from the air. The Pump Room is well worth a visit, and there are several museums, including the world’s largest costume museum.

This afternoon we visit Western-Super-Mare, which is steeped with Victorian history and dominated by a long stretch of glorious beach. The level seafront is a delightful stroll and here you will find a magnificent grand pier and plenty of seaside attractions. Nature lovers will be left in awe by the beautiful greenery of the town’s parks and gardens, and if you’re searching for culture and history, there are many museums and galleries to explore, with Weston Museum being a highlight.

Day 5: This morning we depart our hotel and make our way back to Norfolk, making suitable stops en route. Upon arrival, our door to door taxi service will be waiting to take you home.
