Day 1: Following your home taxi collection we make our way to Newquay for our 4 night stay at the Esplanade Hotel.
Day 2: After breakfast, we have a full day at the Eden Project. Dubbed the Eighth Wonder of the World by some, Eden is a dramatic global garden housed in tropical biomes that nestle in a crater the size of 30 football pitches. With a worldwide reputation, Eden barely needs an introduction, but this epic destination definitely deserves a day of your undivided attention. More than just a huge, tropical garden, Eden is a gateway into the relationships between plants and people, and a fascinating insight into the story of mankind's dependence on plant life. Not only a mind-blowing visitor attraction, Eden is also fast-becoming a unique resource for education and knowledge towards a sustainable future.
Experience the sights, smells and scale of the rainforests in the Rainforest Biome - the world's largest greenhouse - and discover the tropical plants that are used to produce everyday products. Travel to South Africa and California, as you amble amongst the orange and lemon trees, olive groves and gnarled vines of the Mediterranean Biome, and in the 30-acre Outdoor Garden see hemp, sunflowers and other plants that could change your future, flourishing under the Cornish sun.
A fascinating location, but, more importantly, Eden is a great day out
Day 3: After breakfast, we make our way to the historic coastal village of Mevagissey. A picturesque fishing village with colourful old buildings and photogenic 18th century harbour. This afternoon we continue to the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Once lost to the brambles of time, The Lost Gardens of Heligan have been rediscovered and lovingly restored to become one of the most loved gardens in the UK.
Today the mysterious gardens and estate offer over 200 acres for exploration. Discover romantic Victorian Gardens along winding paths laid out over two centuries ago. Step back in time and journey across the world beneath the historic rhododendron boughs of Sikkim, and get lost in the exotic outdoor Jungle whilst adventuring along raised boardwalks past giant rhubarb, banana plantations and through tunnels of towering bamboo.
Day 4: This morning we head across the Duchy to the historic maritime town of Falmouth. Falmouth is a charming old port with a year-round mild climate that allows sub-tropical gardens to flourish and boasts one of the highest average sunshine records in Britain. The resort has a famous large natural harbour, narrow cobbled streets, olde-worlde inns, and many historical buildings. We continue our day with a visit to Trebah Gardens, an exotic sub-tropical garden, voted in the top 100 Gardens in the world. Famous for its cascading waterfalls, ponds with giant Koi Carp and streams, which winds down to its own private beach.
Day 5: Following your leisurely breakfast we make our way back to Norfolk, making suitable stops en route. Upon arrival our taxi service will be waiting to take you home.
