Day 1: Following your home taxi collection you will join our luxury tour coach and we will make our way Shropshire and our hotel for the next four nights, the Feathers Hotel, on a dinner bed & breakfast basis.
Day 2: Today we begin with a drive through Bromyard to Leominster for a short stop. From here we ride around some of the villages in Herefordshire’s beautiful ‘Black and White’ villages trail. Our route takes in delightful cottages, inns, shops in timber framed hamlets including Eardisland, Pembridge, Eardisley and Weobley, bringing us to Hereford in time for lunch. Hereford sits right at the heart of the county, on a loop of the River Wye. The golden-stone cathedral, with its medieval Mappa Mundi and Chained Library, is a huge draw – but you can also wander among half-timbered houses and stroll along the Wye. You may wish to browse the independent shops across the city, which are clustered along quirky Church Street, and explore the Old Market, transformed into an open-air destination for shopping and dining. After free time, we make our way back to the hotel.
Day 3: This morning we are met by a local guide for an informative walking tour of Ludlow, with the rest of the day spent at leisure. Ludlow is a thriving medieval market town and an architectural gem. The town has so many things to offer – you may wish to explore the streets of this historic town, visit the 11th century Ludlow Castle, or head into St Laurence's Church. For those who enjoy a leisurely stroll, why not enjoy a walk over Whitcliffe Common, with its panoramic views, overlooking the castle and town. (attractions subject to individual choice and payment)
Day 4: This morning we make our way to the historic town of Shrewsbury, one of England’s finest medieval market towns, packed with timber-framed architectural gems, half-hidden cafes and a trove of local cafes and pubs. With over 600 listed buildings, there’s plenty of history to uncover. Why not visit Mount House to see where Charles Darwin was born, or head to the home of the fictional character Brother Cadfael, Shrewsbury Abbey. You could take a stroll to the famous Quarry, a 29 acre park which is a delight to explore, and is encircled by the loop of the River Severn. (attractions subject to individual choice and payment)
Day 5: Sadly this morning we depart our hotel and head back to Norfolk making suitable stops along the way. We arrive early evening where we re-join our door to door taxi service who will return you safely home.
