Manchester at Leisure Weekend

Known throughout the world as the birthplace of the industrial revolution, Manchester has a proud history in science, politics, music, arts and sport. And today the city combines this heritage with a progressive vision to be a city that delivers surprise and delight in equal measures.

Whether you’re seeking culture, history, or just good fun, there are plenty of things to do in Manchester. Be absorbed by the beautiful attractions such as the gothic architecture at John Rylands Library and Manchester Cathedral; take in fine art at Manchester Art Gallery and the Whitworth; discover history, old and new, at Manchester Museum and the Imperial War Museum North.

Of course, Manchester is synonymous with football. So maybe hop on a tram to Salford Quays and enjoy a tour of the grounds of Manchester United, and discover the social history of the beautiful game at the National Football Museum.

Day 1: Joining from of our direct coach joining points, we head north to Manchester, making a brief morning coffee stop and a lunch break. Upon arrival, the coach will drop you off outside of the hotel, and the rest of the weekend is yours at leisure.

Days 2 - 3: You have two full days to explore Manchester. Whether you’re seeking culture, history, or just good fun, there are plenty of things to do in Manchester. Be absorbed by the beautiful attractions such as the gothic architecture at John Rylands Library and Manchester Cathedral; take in fine art at Manchester Art Gallery and the Whitworth; discover history, old and new, at Manchester Museum and the Imperial War Museum North.

Day 4: After a leisurely breakfast, we will leave Manchester at 11am and make the return journey back to Norfolk, making suitable stops enroute.
