Discover the Wonders of North Wales

Immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes, historic towns, and charming seaside resorts of North Wales on this unforgettable 5-day holiday. From the rolling Cheshire countryside to the rugged beauty of Snowdonia, each day offers a perfect blend of scenic drives, cultural discoveries, and leisurely exploration. Wander through medieval streets, marvel at ancient castles, stroll along picturesque promenades, and take in panoramic views from dramatic headlands and mountain passes. With carefully planned excursions, free time to explore at your own pace, and comfortable accommodations, this holiday promises a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and lasting memories.

Day 1: Following your home taxi collection we head to Cheshire arriving late afternoon at the Beaufort Park Hotel for our 4 nights stay on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis. Tea/coffee and Bara Brith (Welsh speckled bread) will be served on arrival whilst our luggage is taken to our rooms

Day 2: This morning, we enjoy a scenic drive through the charming Cheshire countryside before arriving in the historic city of Chester for the day. Step back in time as you wander along the cobbled streets and explore the city’s iconic black-and-white “Rows” — unique, half-timbered buildings that now host some of Chester’s finest shops, boutiques, and restaurants. Discover one of Britain’s largest Roman amphitheatres, still being excavated just beyond the old city walls, and take a leisurely walk along the two-mile circuit of Roman walls built from local red sandstone. A short stroll away lies the picturesque River Dee and its delightful riverside promenade, the Groves, complete with a bandstand, boat rides, and traditional ice cream stalls.

In the afternoon, we’ll enjoy a sightseeing cruise along the River Dee, complete with engaging commentary that brings Chester’s fascinating past to life.

Day 3: Today, we travel to Llandudno, the largest and most elegant of Wales’s seaside resorts — a true Victorian gem with roots stretching back to the Iron Age. Nestled in a graceful crescent-shaped bay, the town is framed by the striking headlands of the Great Orme and Little Orme, with the Great Orme’s 700-foot limestone cliffs extending dramatically into the sea. You may choose to ascend to its summit by cable car or on the Victorian Tramway to take in breathtaking views across Anglesey and Snowdonia (cost not included).

Llandudno’s relaxed charm, pleasant shopping centre, and wide, level promenade make it one of Wales’s most beloved coastal destinations — a joy to explore at your own pace.

This afternoon, we cross the river to the historic town of Conwy, a place steeped in heritage and character. Much of its medieval splendour remains beautifully preserved within its ancient walls and traditional buildings. At its heart stands the magnificent 13th-century Conwy Castle, whose imposing walls encircle this remarkable town. Surrounded by lush Welsh countryside and overlooked by the peaks of Snowdonia, Conwy is truly a breathtaking place to visit.

Day 4: This morning, we journey across the Denbighshire Moors to the peaceful Vale of Conwy, passing through the village of Llanrwst before arriving in Betws-y-Coed — a picturesque spot often called the Gateway to Snowdonia. Take some free time here to enjoy lunch and a leisurely stroll amid its charming surroundings.

We then continue through the scenic Dee Valley to the delightful town of Llangollen, where you can explore its pretty streets and admire the lovely riverside views. Our return route takes us over the dramatic Horseshoe Pass, offering a final opportunity to savour the stunning landscapes of North Wales.

Day 5: Sadly, our journey draws to a close this morning as we say goodbye to our hotel and begin our journey back to Norfolk, with comfort stops made along the way. On arrival, our door-to-door taxi service will be waiting to ensure a smooth and comfortable return home — taking with you fond memories of your wonderful time in North Wales.
