Day 1: Your holiday begins with a convenient home pick-up via our door-to-door taxi service before joining our luxury tour coach. We travel west to Pembrokeshire and the welcoming Cliff Hotel in Gwbert, where we stay for four nights on a dinner, bed, and breakfast basis. On arrival, relax with tea, coffee, and biscuits while your luggage is delivered to your room.
Day 2: After breakfast, we head south to the charming village of Laugharne, set on the banks of the River Taf. The village is famous as the home of Dylan Thomas and features a 13th-century ruined castle and a lovely riverside walk passing the Dylan Thomas Boathouse and his former residence.
We continue to Saundersfoot, a delightful seaside village nestled in a sheltered wooded valley. Here you’ll have free time to explore the pretty streets, browse the local shops, and enjoy views over its three sandy beaches and bustling harbour.
This afternoon, we visit Tenby, one of Britain’s most picturesque coastal towns. With its narrow streets, historic harbour, and golden beaches, Tenby has retained all its natural charm. We return to our hotel via the scenic Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
Day 3: Today begins with a visit to St David’s, Britain’s smallest city. Admire the impressive 12th-century cathedral and the ruins of the medieval Bishop’s Palace, both key landmarks of this historic pilgrimage site.
This afternoon, we continue to Picton Castle, an enchanting 13th-century castle set within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Explore its grand entrance hall, library, great hall, dining and drawing rooms, and the medieval undercroft. Don’t miss the stunning RHS partner gardens, featuring a restored walled garden, fernery, jungle garden, and maze.
Day 4: After breakfast, we travel to the lovely market town of Cardigan, one of the oldest towns in Wales, set beside the River Towy. Enjoy some free time to browse the pedestrianised shopping area and the covered market.
We then journey through the scenic Teifi Valley to the National Wool Museum, where we are welcomed with a meet-and-greet talk followed by a self-guided tour. Discover the fascinating story of Wales’s historic wool industry in this unique working museum.
