Join us for a relaxing and scenic escape to the heart of the New Forest National Park, where ancient woodland, open heathland, and free-roaming ponies create a truly magical setting. Based at the welcoming Beaulieu Hotel, nestled in a tranquil corner of the forest, this five-day holiday offers the perfect blend of comfort, countryside charm, and cultural discovery.

Our carefully planned itinerary includes visits to picturesque villages like Burley and Romsey, the stunning Exbury Gardens, and the historic Beaulieu Estate—home to the world-famous National Motor Museum. You’ll also enjoy the beauty and heritage of Mottisfont House and Gardens, and have plenty of time to soak up the peaceful surroundings at your own pace.

With comfortable travel, door-to-door service, and a friendly atmosphere throughout, this is the perfect short break for those seeking a real taste of rural England and a few days of gentle exploration and relaxation.

Day 1: After being collected from your home by our convenient door-to-door taxi service, you’ll join our luxury tour coach as we travel south to the charming New Forest town of Brockenhurst. There, we’ll check in for a four-night stay at the Beaulieu Hotel, where you'll enjoy dinner, bed, and breakfast throughout your stay.

Day 2: This morning, we enjoy a relaxed drive through the picturesque New Forest, making a stop in the historic market town of Ringwood. Dating back to 1226, Ringwood sits on the western edge of the forest at a scenic crossing of the River Avon. The town offers a variety of shops, cafés, and restaurants to explore at your leisure. Take a stroll down West Street for a charming view of the river from the old three-arched stone bridge, or unwind with a walk through the peaceful Jubilee Garden.

We continue our day with a visit to the stunning Exbury Gardens, now proudly celebrating over 100 years of horticultural excellence. Spanning more than 200 acres in the heart of Hampshire, these remarkable gardens—created and still managed by the Rothschild family—feature an extraordinary mix of woodland, formal, herbaceous, contemporary, and wildflower landscapes. Highlights include world-renowned collections of rhododendrons and azaleas, sweeping displays of hydrangeas, and the National Collection of Nyssa trees.

Day 3:  This morning, our excursion takes us deep into the New Forest to the charming village of Burley. Nestled in the heart of the forest, Burley is known for its picturesque thatched cottages, traditional shops, and inviting tea rooms—making it a must-visit for anyone exploring the area. The village is also home to one of Hampshire’s most renowned cider producers, New Forest Cider.

Steeped in folklore, Burley has a unique connection to witchcraft, most famously through Sybil Leek, the village’s well-known “white witch.” Visitors can explore quirky shops offering everything from cauldrons to broomsticks, or simply soak up the timeless atmosphere. With New Forest ponies and cattle freely roaming the lanes, Burley offers a true glimpse of rural England at its most enchanting.

This afternoon, we continue to the historic Beaulieu Estate. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to visit the magnificent Palace House and explore its grounds. Beaulieu is also home to one of the South of England’s top attractions—the National Motor Museum. This world-class museum houses a collection of over 280 historic vehicles and fascinating motoring memorabilia. From iconic Formula One cars and land speed record holders to early examples of British motoring, the museum’s exhibitions provide a captivating journey through the history of life on the road.

Day 4: After a relaxed breakfast, we begin our day with a visit to the enchanting Mottisfont House and Gardens. Once a medieval priory, this elegant estate is rich in beauty, history, and charm. Step inside to uncover stories of creativity, passion, conflict, and transformation, brought to life through a rotating programme of exhibitions. In the 20th century, Mottisfont was home to society hostess Maud Russell, who welcomed illustrious guests such as the Churchills, Ian Fleming, and members of the Bloomsbury Group.

Outside, the grounds are a delight to explore, with vibrant spring bulbs, colourful borders, and beautifully maintained walled gardens offering a true sensory experience.

This afternoon, we travel to the picturesque market town of Romsey, nestled alongside the River Test. Known for its quaint winding streets and abundance of independent shops, Romsey exudes old-world charm. At its heart stands the impressive Norman Abbey, a striking centrepiece surrounded by medieval architecture and historic character.

Day 5:  Sadly, our time away comes to an end this morning as we depart the hotel and begin our journey back to Norfolk. With comfort in mind, we’ll make suitable stops along the way, arriving in the late afternoon where our door-to-door taxi service will be ready to take you home.
