We travel to the beautiful Kilworth House Hotel in Leicestershire for a memorable day of fine dining and top-class musical theatre. On arrival, we enjoy a delicious three-course pre-show lunch in the stunning Orangery Restaurant, followed by a matinee performance of the classic musical Anything Goes.
Built in 1880, the Orangery is a magnificent example of Victorian architecture and has been lovingly restored to its former glory. Light, bright and airy, it offers a wonderful setting in which to dine beneath a spectacular ceiling of glass, timber and ornate wrought iron. Our three-course lunch will be taken here, with menu choices available on the day.
After lunch, you take a short walk to the renowned Kilworth House Theatre, a unique open-air venue set within a wooded glade beside the lake in the hotel’s grounds. Opened in 2007, the theatre has earned national recognition as one of the best outdoor theatres in the UK, celebrated for its high-quality, large-scale musical productions.
Set against this beautiful backdrop, Anything Goes is a dazzling new production packed with high-energy choreography, unforgettable songs and all the glitz and glamour of Broadway. Directed and choreographed by Lee Proud, with the same creative team behind 42nd Street, Singin’ in the Rain and Hairspray, this hilarious classic promises a truly outstanding performance.
There is something truly magical about open-air theatre on a summer’s afternoon, and this exceptional production, set within the magnificent surroundings of the Kilworth estate, offers a wonderful theatrical experience of a standard rarely seen outside London’s West End.
