Day 1: We depart from our convenient local joining points and travel south to the popular seaside resort of Paignton. Comfort stops will be made along the way before arriving at the Palace Hotel, our home for the next four nights. Upon our arrival we will be greeted with tea/coffee and mince pies. Three Course Dinner will be served in the Restaurant from 6pm to 7.45pm, followed by Evening Entertainment in the Lounge from 8.30pm to 10.30pm.
Day 2: (Christmas Day) - This morning, we journey through the scenic Teign Valley to Dawlish, a charming town centred around The Lawn and the Brook, famously home to black swans. There will be time to explore and enjoy the town’s laid-back atmosphere.
We then continue to Teignmouth, a popular coastal resort renowned for its elegant Georgian architecture, attractive harbour and long sandy beaches.
We then make our way back to the hotel for tea/coffee & festive treats which will be served in the lounge. Our traditional Christmas Three Course Dinner will be served from 6pm to 7.45pm. Santa may have left a little gift for you! Live entertainment will follow in the lounge.
Day 3: (Boxing Day) - Today is at leisure in Paignton. This popular resort is easy to explore, with the seafront, pier, town centre shops and traditional tearooms all within comfortable walking distance. Whether you choose a gentle promenade stroll, time by the sea, or browsing the local shops, Paignton provides the perfect setting for a relaxed day at your own pace. But remember to be back at the hotel for 4pm when tea or coffee and biscuits will be served in the lounge with a festive quiz! A three course dinner will be served from 6pm to 7.45pm.
Day 4: (New Years Eve) - After breakfast, we travel to historic Brixham, a maritime treasure with a busy fishing port. Here you can wander the maze of narrow streets or visit one of the many cafes around the harbour and watch the world go by.
This afternoon, we travel to Torquay, the elegant heart of the English Riviera, where you will have free time to explore the harbour, promenade, shops, or cafés at your leisure, before returning to the hotel. At 5.30 pm join us in the Washington Bar for a pre meal drink. Your evening three course meal will be served from 6pm to 7.45pm followed by a night of live entertainment from 8.30pm to 10.30pm
Day 5: After breakfast, we bid farewell to Paignton and begin our return journey home. Comfort stops will be made en route, with arrival back at our local drop-off points early evening.
