Step aboard and escape into one of England’s most treasured landscapes – the timeless beauty of Constable Country.

This relaxing coach trip takes you into the heart of the Dedham Vale, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the inspiration behind some of John Constable’s most celebrated paintings.

After a comfortable drive to Manningtree, you’ll enjoy a leisurely self-guided countryside walk through rolling meadows, riverside paths and charming Suffolk scenery.

Highlights include:

  • The peaceful banks of the River Stour
  • Willy Lott’s Cottage (as seen in Constable’s famous works)
  • Open farmland and classic English countryside views
  • Wildlife-rich meadows and gentle, flat pathways

This is a mostly flat and accessible walk, ideal for anyone who enjoys relaxed countryside rambling without steep climbs.

Your walk concludes at the historic Flatford Mill, now cared for by the National Trust.

Here you’ll have time to:

  • Explore the mill and its exhibitions
  • Visit the tea room for refreshments
  • Capture photographs of this iconic riverside setting
  • Relax and soak in the artistic heritage of the area
