Experience the magic of Ireland’s southwest on this unforgettable eight-day tour, combining breathtaking scenery, rich heritage and warm Irish hospitality. From the moment your door-to-door taxi collects you, every detail is carefully arranged to ensure a relaxing and memorable journey.

Based for five nights at the excellent Killarney Towers Hotel, in the heart of lively Killarney town, this holiday showcases some of Ireland’s most iconic landscapes. Discover the world-famous Ring of Kerry, where dramatic mountains meet sparkling coastal waters, and explore the wild beauty of the Dingle Peninsula. Enjoy a traditional jaunting car ride through Killarney National Park, followed by a scenic cruise across the Lakes of Killarney.

Along the way, visit charming villages, historic landmarks and fascinating museums, including the story of Irish Coffee at Foynes. With comfortable travel, guided excursions and time at leisure to soak up Killarney’s welcoming atmosphere, this tour offers the perfect blend of scenery, culture and relaxation in the heart of the Emerald Isle.

Day 1: Following your home taxi collection we head across country to North Wales for our overnight stop at the Celtic Royal Hotel, with ample time to settle in before our evening meal.

Day 2: An early start to board the morning ferry from Holyhead to Dublin. Due to the early departure from the hotel, breakfast is on board the vessel. Upon arrival, we travel to the Killarney Towers hotel for our five night stay on a dinner, bed & breakfast basis.

Day 3: This morning we are joined by a local guide for today’s excursion, which takes us to the famous ‘Ring of Kerry’. The Ring of Kerry, or Iveragh Peninsula as it is also known, has attracted visitors for hundreds of years on account of its outstanding natural beauty. You will enjoy the spectacular journey around the narrow coastal road of the Iveragh Peninsula, dominated by MacGillycuddy’s Reeks, passing through a myriad of colourful seaside villages. At Ladies View, you too can witness the fabulous views of the lakes below.

Day 4: At leisure in Killarney. We have included a Jaunting car ride that runs through the Killarney National Park and along the edge of Lough Leane to Ross Castle. The Tangney family, whose jaunting business has been in operation for over 220 years, will welcome you on board their pony and trap rides and take you on an exciting tour of the area. From here we catch the ‘Lily of Killarney’ to cruise across the lake. You will enjoy breath-taking views of the Lakes, Islands and Castles of the Killarney National Park, whilst being comfortably seated in the modern and heated glass-covered Lily of Killarney MV Watercoach, guided by your local Captain and Guide.

Day 5: After breakfast, we explore the Dingle Peninsula with our onboard guide. The Peninsula offers some of the wildest natural scenic beauty in Ireland. We make a stop in Tralee before continuing to Dingle. Perched on the hem of the Atlantic in Ireland's southwest, charming Dingle looks out over Dingle Bay to the Blasket Islands. A regular visitor to Dingle's Gulf Stream-warmed waters is Fungi, the dolphin, the town's unofficial mascot.

Day 5: Our journey west takes us to Adare, which lays claim to being Ireland’s prettiest village, set on the west bank of the River Maigue. The thatched cottages lining Main Street provide a wonderful photo opportunity.

We also call for a stop at Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum, and discover the era of transatlantic passenger flights, the maritime history of the River Shannon, and the invention of Irish Coffee!

This truly unique visitor experience captures the story of how Foynes became one of the great aviation hubs of the world between 1937-1945. You will walk in the footsteps of JF Kennedy, Bob Hope, Eleanor Roosevelt & many other dignitaries, movie stars & refugees who landed at Foynes.

Whether your interest lies in the rich maritime history of the River Shannon and the port of Foynes, or the pioneering days of aviation and passenger travel across the North Atlantic, the museum is sure to delight and intrigue.

Did you know too that the world-famous drink – Irish Coffee – was invented in Foynes on a winters evening in 1943? Within our Irish Coffee Centre, you will hear the tale of that eventful night.

Day 7: We travel to the port of Dublin for our mid-afternoon crossing to Holyhead. On arrival, we continue to our overnight hotel in north Wales.

Day 8: We depart for the journey to Norfolk making suitable stops en-route. Upon arrival, our door to door service home will be waiting to return you home.
