Day 1: Following your home taxi collection, you will join our luxury tour coach as we travel north to Scotland and our base for the next four nights, The Winnock Hotel in Drymen. After settling into your room, enjoy dinner in the hotel's restaurant, followed by an evening of entertainment.
Day 2: Today we enjoy a full day at leisure in Edinburgh, Scotland's magnificent capital city. Dominated by its iconic castle and steeped in history, Edinburgh offers a fascinating blend of medieval closes, elegant Georgian streets, and world-class attractions. Explore the atmospheric Royal Mile, browse the shops along Princes Street and George Street, or visit one of the city's many museums and galleries. Perhaps take in the spectacular views from Calton Hill or enjoy a warming lunch in one of Edinburgh's traditional pubs or cosy cafés. Later, we return to the hotel for a delicious three-course dinner, followed by an evening of entertainment.
Day 3: After a hearty Scottish breakfast, we make our way to Loch Lomond. Our first stop is Balloch, a picturesque village situated at the southern tip of the loch, offering a variety of shops, cafés, and waterfront views.
From here, we board our one-hour circular cruise of Loch Lomond's southern basin. Sit back and admire the stunning scenery, including views of Ben Lomond and several impressive stately homes and castles that line the shores of Britain's largest inland stretch of water.
This afternoon, we visit the renowned Glengoyne Distillery. Enjoy a guided tour and discover the traditional whisky-making process before sampling two Glengoyne Highland Single Malt whiskies and learning about their distinctive flavours.
Day 4: Today we explore the beautiful landscapes of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, often described as the 'Highlands in Miniature'. Travelling through the picturesque towns of Callander and Aberfoyle, we enjoy some of Scotland's most breathtaking scenery.
Later, we visit the historic city of Stirling, where there is free time to explore its charming Old Town. You may wish to visit the impressive castle. Once home to Scotland's kings and queens, Stirling played a pivotal role in the nation's history and offers spectacular views across the surrounding countryside. (entry not included)
